1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using DinoTrove, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
DinoTrove is a mobile application that provides a dinosaur encyclopedia, a personal passport for tracking museum visits, achievement badges, favorites, and related educational content. The app is provided for informational and educational purposes.
3. Account Registration
You may create an account using Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or email and password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create in the app, including personal notes, photos, and passport entries. By uploading content, you grant DinoTrove a license to host and display that content within your account. You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or inappropriate. Optional photos should be your own or properly licensed.
5. Scientific Accuracy
DinoTrove strives for scientific accuracy in its dinosaur information. However, paleontology is an evolving science, and some information may be updated as new discoveries are made. Content is provided for educational purposes and should not be used as a sole academic source.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: • Use the app for any unlawful purpose. • Attempt to access other users' data or accounts. • Interfere with or disrupt the app's servers or functionality. • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the app's source code or database. • Upload malicious or inappropriate content.
7. Premium Features
Certain advanced features may be offered as Premium in the future. Premium features, pricing, and availability will be announced when launched. Until then, all features labeled 'Coming Soon' are not yet available for purchase or use.
8. Intellectual Property
The DinoTrove app, its design, dinosaur database content, and visual assets are protected by intellectual property laws. Paleoart images are generated for educational use. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit the app's content without permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
DinoTrove is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the app, including loss of data, inaccurate information, or service interruptions. Your use of the app is at your own risk.
10. Account Termination
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from Account Settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
