Interesting Facts

Allosaurus is the most common large theropod found in the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry.

Its skull was lightly built, with gaps that reduced weight while maintaining strength.

It could open its jaws extraordinarily wide, up to 92 degrees.

Allosaurus likely preyed upon Stegosaurus and juvenile sauropods.
